What is the BBA?
The Bellingham Business Association (BBA) is a nonpolitical, nonsectarian, nonprofit organization, comprised of business owners and self-employed individuals situated in and around the town of Bellingham. Through the foresight of a few concerned business people, the BBA was founded in 1981 to promote and build a better community through business. Our membership consists of a wide variety of business, both large and small, including retailers, wholesalers, consultants, contractors, restaurants, as well as a variety of professionals from the legal, accounting, publishing, medical, computer and other fields.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to improve business conditions, promote higher business standards, and provide a better understanding of issues and problems which affect the business community, as well as to promote civic, cultural, economic and social betterment to the residents of the town of Bellingham.

What does the BBA do?
The BBA is proud to sponsor many activities and programs such as annual scholarships to graduating seniors and a Citizenship Award for outstanding service to the community. We also make financial contributions to many worthwhile causes and events such as Bellingham Friends of the Library, Bellingham Friends of Music, Operation Graduation, Santa's Elves Telethon, Local Food Pantry and Senior Center and Summer Town Movie Night.

Why should I join the BBA?
As a member of the BBA you can get involved and help in achieving the goals described above; you can attend monthly dinner meetings and enjoy a variety of guest speakers, as well as network with other business owners; you can take advantage of free advertising in the monthly newsletter (space allocated in a first come-first serve basis); and as a current member, you receive a free listing in the Membership Directory. (Additional ad space is available at a nominal fee to help defray printing costs.)
